I know some of you are having issue with Group Calendar and also with getting it from Curse so I’ve uploaded it here to help until things settle down from 2.4!
As any of you who use addons, and have gone through patches, you know that 2.4 will probably mean addon-hell.
So, it was a nice surprise to see that WoWInterface is trying to help with a page that lists the most popular addons, it’s status and links from all the major addon sites for you to download.
http://www.wowinterface.com/survivalguide.php
It’s still going to be hell, but this might help, good luck!
We’ve heard mention of this addon in the past and with us looking forward to brighter and bigger things, it seems like a great time to take a closer look.
Luckily for me, WOW Insider has started a feature on it and part one is here.
For those of you who prefer to jump right in, here’s a link to the download page at WoWInterface.
With each new piece of gear you get, often the first thing you have to ask yourself is “what am I going to socket this with?”. So, what I have here are three different resources that might help you to answer that question.
This is a great site for trying to figure out what’s available to you. It lets you create filters by color, attribute or combinations of those.
This is a great starting point for understanding the basics of gems and socketing. A wealth of information, probably more than you’ll ever need, but a good palce to start if the whole gem thing seems a little confusing.
For those of you who don’t have the dual screens or really can’t stand alt-tab, this addon provides the same information as the sites, but in-game. This is a great addon for a JC but also for anyone who finds themsleves trying to figure out what to put in which socket!
So, hope you find this info helpful. If you do, let me know, leave a comment and let me know if there’s aother topics you’d like to see information on.
One of the things I always struggle with is knowing who can make me what in the Guild. Originally I had tried to download data from the game, convert it to HTML and post it on the site. As you can imagine, that process didn’t last long!
So I was really happy to see an addon that lets me see what other people in the Guild can make in-game! dbCraft takes an inventory of your trade skills and publishes the data over the Guild channel.

So, if you’d like to see what armor I can make, what gems Sione can cut or even what potions Leone can make give this addon a try. There’s a link for it on the Addons page.
