When’s WG?

We’ve all asked that question, well at least we used to until they added it in-game, but what if you’re not logged into WoW? Well, now you can find out when the next WG is by visiting www.timeuntilwintergrasp.com and if you want, here’s a direct link to the Undermine page.

You can read the full article here but I thought I’d draw attention to the guild changes:

Guilds

  • Guild talents and guild currency has been scrapped. Guilds will automatically receive perks and bonuses for leveling up (there are 25 levels), but there will be no guild talent trees. Boss kills, winning battlegrounds and similar activities will accrue XP for your guild.
  • In place of a currency system, guilds will gain rewards by completing guild achievements. Once a reward has been unlocked, you will purchase them with gold. Rewards include unique tabards, mounts (carrying your guild’s battle standard) and heirloom items. Once a guild has earned an achievement, it will never go away and the rewards they bestow will always be available. The achievements will be very comprehensive, covering even classic/legacy raids. To earn a guild achievement in a raid, a 10-man raid must have 7 players from the same guild. A 25-man raid needs 20.
  • Players will be able to gain reputation with their guild, much like you would with a group like the Argent Crusade. You gain reputation for participating in dungeons, battlegrounds or completing guild achievements. The top end guild rewards will require Exalted reputation, and is on a per-character basis. You’ll need to grind up your guild reputation even on your alts. You do not lose all of your reputation immediately after leaving a guild or being kicked. If you’re quitting (or being kicked) for a joke, you won’t lose all of your hard work
  • The guild UI has been overhauled. The UI will display your guild’s XP bar, an upcoming events section with a feed of your guild’s calendar events, an RSS feed of your guild’s recent events (boss kills, rated battleground wins, et cetera), your character’s guild reputation bar, and your recently gained perk.
  • The guild roster will contain profession information for each player, and you can view their recipes even when they are not online.

Great Start in ICC!

WoWScrnShot_121009_232506

This was a great week of raiding guys. We ran out of time on DSB but I’m sure he won’t put up much of a fight once we have some time to focus on him!

Patch 3.3

Well, I’m hoping all of you already visit our favorite news sites but in case you don’t. Make sure you read up on the changes coming our way (probably tomorrow).

WoW.com has an amazing amount of info that can be found at http://www.wow.com/guide-to-patch-3-3.

And MMO-Champion is always the first to confirm if the patch is going to hit.

As a Guild, the patch means new raids, new bosses and new gear to work on. It also means changing our focus from ToC to Icecrown Citadel. However, we’re not done in ToC yet. Folks still need gear and we want to make sure all our raiders have the gear (main and off) to push ahead in IC.

The first section that opens will include the Lord Marrowgar, Lady Deathwhisper, Icecrown Gunship Battle, and Deathbringer Saurfang encounters. Progress beyond that point will be prevented for several weeks. Then the Plagueworks will open with Rotface, Festergut, and Professor Putricide becoming available. After another period of time, the Crimson Hall will open and you can then fight the Blood Princes and Blood-Queen Lana’thel. The final Frostwing Halls unlock then occurs after that, making Valithria Dreamwalker, Sindragosa, and the Lich King available. We believe a staggered release of the content will allow players to experience Icecrown Citadel at a sustainable, measured, and ultimately more enjoyable pace.

As a Guild, we’ll also be making sure we run the weekly raid for those 10 tasty Emblems of Frost not to mention the daily heroic.

So, start working on your loot lists people. Head over to Wowhead to see what might be dropping for you. MMOChampion has it broken out by raid and 5-man.

I’ve added a new IC forum and posted videos and links to the Tankspot guides. So get watching and be ready to go!

And in case you can’t find it…

Part One – Addons and tradeskills

gold

Greymonkey has urged me to post some of my strategies for using the Auction House to grow funds.  As 3.3 and Cataclysm looms around the corner many folks may be wondering how they will afford to continue in progression raiding or level their new worgens . Unfortunately for some, in-game funds may be limited.  As a good master I will share with you some of the tricks I’ve picked up along the way but not all; some things you just have to figure out for yourselves. /wink

I strongly suggest folks interested in using the auction house as a means to make gold download auctioneer.  This add-on has been very helpful to me, especially having so many toons and bank toons I’m working with.  I also suggest advance trade skill and lil sparkys workshop.  Now that you have all these cool new add-ons you’re probably wondering  how they all work. Battle.net Cometh!

battle.net-logoWell, whether you like it or not on November 11th, if you aren’t using a Battle.net account you won’t be playing WoW.

So, let’s all make sure we’re converted before then so as to both avoid the rush and any chance of messing up our raids because folks are stuck in limbo.

oswaldSo head on over to Battle.net and get converting and for your troubles, you’ll get a cute little penguin pet called Oswald. If you just want to find out some more about Battle.net, read this!

I’ve also added a counter to the sidebar so you can how long you have left.
